Naming Ceremony

Naming Ceremonies

Why not welcome your new edition to the family with a Naming Ceremony?

Traditionally a religious ceremony known as a Christening is held in a Church but many family values have changed and some prefer something less formal, choosing a more lighthearted ceremony which is more bespoke to your wishes.

Where can it be held?

Wherever you choose. A local venue, Pub, Village Hall or you may wish to hold it at your own home if space allows or in the garden, weather permitting. This is usually followed by a celebration with the family and friends you have chosen to celebrate with enjoying food, drink and a special cake to mark the occasion.

How you can make it a special day to remember

The celebration can be conducted in any way you wish, to include your own words/music and promises which family and friends can participate in confirming their commitment and support for the child throughout its life. It may be that you will have a joint ceremony for more than one child, choosing to leave celebrating their naming day until they can join in the celebrations with everyone together.
